Registration Open for the ASU Research Computing Expo

ASU Research Computing is hosting a two-day expo to share the various technological and research resources they make available to the ASU community. This event is open to all ASU students, staff, and faculty and will highlight the ASU supercomputer and how it can be used to conduct research. 

ASU Research Computing is a prominent team within the Research Technology Office, a contributing unit of the ASU Knowledge Enterprise. They offer technical consulting services focused largely on computing processes such as parallel computing, big data analytics, scientific visualization, high-speed networking, and cybersecurity. 

The Research Computing Expo will take place on August 1-2, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Memorial Union on ASU’s Tempe campus. It will consist of 19 sessions, including interactive training sessions on using resources like the web portal, the Linux command line, the software module system, job tools, and much more. The Expo will also feature a kickoff speech from Keynote Speaker Dr. John Gustafson, a computer scientist and businessman known best for his work in High Performance Computing. His work, including his invention of Gustafson’s Law and introduction of the first commercial computer cluster, have greatly advanced research and influenced the future of computing.
