You may have seen a warning that your Esri software license is set to expire. The warning appears because ASU's license agreement with Esri renews at the end of the month. This happens every year; it is expected and normal.
Here’s what you need to do, depending on the Esri software you’re using:
ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro
No action is needed. All ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro licenses will be automatically updated. Simply wait for the renewal on September 1.
ArcGIS Desktop (via VPN)
If you’re accessing ArcGIS Desktop via a VPN connection, no action is needed.
ArcGIS Desktop (off campus)
Download a new license file. Illustrated instructions in the Esri software guide will show you how. For ASU-owned computers, please contact the Map and Geospatial Hub via the Map/Geo Service Request form to obtain a new license.
