In this week’s collection spotlight we would like to showcase the Chicano/a Research Collection curated by Nancy Godoy, Associate Archivist here at Arizona State University (ASU) Library and the Project Lead of the Community-Driven Archives (CDA) team. Started in 1970 by Dr. Christine Marin, the Chicano/a Research Collection is the largest collection of manuscripts, photographs, books, newspapers and ephemera of Mexican American history in Arizona and the Southwest. In this video we highlight just one of the many collections housed with the Chicano/a Research Collection here at ASU Library the Alianza Hispano Americana Collection. Additionally, a selection from this collection is slated to be digitized under the current grant awarded to ASU Library.
