Over five hundred students visit the Map and Geospatial Hub each spring and fall semester to complete a class assignment.
Students use geologic and topographic from our collection to research geological processes that produced our current land formations. They study maps of places such as San Francisco Peaks, Superstition Mountains and the buttes in Papago Park.
You can visit the Hub to research your own area or view thousands of geologic maps at The National Geologic Map Database.
