About the Design Library

The Design Library is located on the first floor of the Design North building.  As a component the ASU Library system, which has over 4.5 million volumes, this collection focuses strongly on design subjects, including: architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, graphic design, industrial design, and urban planning.  The Design Library houses approximately 50,000 books, journals, and media items, as well as a special collection of primary source materials and archival drawings.

Locating Missing Books or Journal Articles

If a needed item (book or journal) is not on the shelf, please ask at the Design Library Information & Check Out Desk. If the book is checked out, it can be recalled and held for you. If material is not checked out, you can initiate a search by requesting the item through the library catalog. When the material becomes available, you will be notified via your ASU email. If the journal article is missing, and you are an ASU student, faculty, or staff member, you may request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.
