This new book is a translation of Hoyt Tillman's "Utilitarian Confucianism," which was first published by Harvard’s Council on East Asian Studies and distributed by Harvard University Press, 1982. In that English book, Tillman was the first scholar to use a 13th-century rare book edition of CHEN Liang’s writings.
