Bio
Joseph Cazier, Ph.D and CAP (Certified Analytics Professional) is a Clinical Full Professor at Arizona State University who coaches students and business leaders how to succeed in making better decisions with data. He previously served as the Dean’s Club Professor, Associate Dean and the Founding Executive Director of the Center for Analytics Research and Education at Appalachian State University where he designed and directed analytics programs and worked with industry and governments in finding ways to make better decisions with data. Additionally Joseph was selected for the prestigious role of the first Faculty Fellow for the University of North Carolina System Office where he led projects related to technology, analytics and innovation. Joseph was also the co-founder of the International Working Group for Bee Data Standardization, the World Bee Count and served as the Chief Analytics Officer for HiveTracks.com. Joseph has been an invited speaker for groups such as the United Nations, The American Public Power Association and the European Parliament and currently serves as an analytics consultant for the global research organization CGIAR. He has published over 100 peer review and popular articles, books and chapters related to better use of technology and data and holds a patent for the application of analytics for medical devices.
