The Hanged Man
Drawing on the rich secular history of the Tarot, "The Hanged Man" follows Glen, a young and impulsive researcher, as he crosses the globe in a quest to unlock the mysteries of the haunting illustrations that have informed the cards for centuries. Drawing on the powerful imagery of the earliest surviving tarot decks from Italy during the Middle Ages, the novel explores the myth and lore surrounding the cards through the studious eyes of the protagonist as he finds himself on a tumultuous journey taking him as far as Western Africa. Along the way, a mystery as dark and ancient as the cards themselves is unleashed, drawing Glen away from the rationality of scholarly explanations toward an irresistible yet terrifying conclusion.
