A Thriller of Love and Espionage
A novel inspired by true events
In a war where trust can get you killed, falling in love might be the most dangerous move of all.
When CIA operative Mick Caruso infiltrates war-torn Sarajevo, his mission is clear: gather intelligence, stay invisible, and get out alive. But the rules change when he meets Maja—a fearless Bosnian with access to secrets that could shift the balance of the conflict. She’s everything he shouldn’t get close to. And the one person he can’t walk away from.
As their partnership deepens, so does the danger. Surveillance tightens. Loyalties blur. And every decision pulls them closer to a breaking point. With enemies closing in, Caruso must navigate a deadly web of deception, high-risk operations, and impossible choices—knowing that one wrong move could cost not just the mission, but the woman he’s come to love.
Packed with authentic tradecraft, elite JSOC action, and relentless tension, Anja’s Tears is a gripping espionage thriller with a powerful emotional core. You may find yourself smiling at unexpected moments of humor and humanity—and just as quickly, confronting the quiet devastation left in war’s wake. It delivers adrenaline, heartbreak, and a resolution that satisfies, while leaving you haunted by the price paid to get there.
