Student families

Welcome families!

ASU Library welcomes families of our faculty, staff, and students. We have many spaces, services, and resources that can help children feel welcomed when they visit. Here are our favorite family-friendly spaces and tips.

Study spaces

Most of our libraries have individual or group study rooms that can be reserved up to seven days in advance, or are available on a first-come, first served basis. Some rooms are equipped with whiteboards, with markers and eraser available at the information desk.

Children's and young adult books

Hayden Library, Fletcher Library at the West campus, and Polytechnic Library all have children's and young adult books in our collections. Known as the Curriculum collection, these include a broad range of topics, subjects, and genres. You can browse books in person, request them from any location, and check them out!

Items from an activity kit include puzzles, colored pens, and other small toys.

For your convenience

Downtown, Fletcher, Hayden, Noble, and Polytechnic Libraries have free activity kits for different age groups to help your child enjoy their visit. You can request a kit at the information desk.

All library locations have phone and laptop chargers, headphones, and calculators available for check out.
