New Course: Advanced GIS Applications for Environmental Design

This Spring (2020), the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts is offering an advanced class in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) called “Advanced GIS Applications for Environmental Design.” Related course numbers are LAP494/598. 

The class will focus on three projects including:

  1. 3D UAV modeling project for a local open-space park

  2. Tree inventory and urban heat analysis of Mesa

  3. Visual resource stewardship project for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
