Hub Hiring Student Workers (Summer 2026)

Published July 17, 2026

The ASU Library Map and Geospatial Hub is looking for three student workers to join our team for the upcoming academic year. If you're an ASU student who enjoys learning new technology, helping others, and working with maps, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications close July 30.

Four people sitting at a table and discussing a map.

One of the best parts about working at the Hub is that you do not need prior GIS experience to apply. We hire students from a wide range of majors and provide the training needed to succeed. We're looking for students who are customer-service oriented, organized and interested in maps and geography.

No two days at the Hub are exactly the same. Student assistants support a wide variety of projects that help make the library's map, GIS, and geospatial resources more accessible to the ASU community and the public.

Depending on your interests and experience, your work may include organizing, maintaining, and digitizing one of Arizona's largest academic map collections, writing short blog posts, creating interactive applications, and more!

If you're curious about the kinds of projects our students work on, visit our Projects page to see examples.
