About the IBIC

The Merle A. Hinrichs International Business Information Centre (IBIC) is the library for Thunderbird School of Global Management.

The IBIC was built in 1994. Its low sweeping curve, horizontal lines, sandstone exterior with southwestern colors, and desert landscaping  are evocative of Native American cliff dwellings and  provide a picturesque setting for study, reflection, and creativity. During the day, the interior receives plentiful indirect natural light. At night, the luminous building spills light into the courtyard from its floor-to-ceiling windows, making the IBIC an attractive spot for evening studies and group meetings.

The building  houses over 20,000 books, audiobooks, and DVDs on international business, culture, and language. There are 8 study rooms for student teams, a conference room that accommodates groups up to 50, and many spots to read and study.  Art from every continent of the world is on display.

The IBIC is managed by ASU Library.
