Geospatial Research and Career Fest, March 15th

ASU Geospatial Career Fest Attention undergraduate and graduate students: the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning (GSUP) in conjunction with the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) are hosting the 11th Annual Geospatial Research and Career Fest on Wednesday, March 15th from 1:00-5:00 at the ASU Memorial Union (Tempe campus) room 221. 

More than 50 representatives from Federal, State and Local government agencies, consulting firms, and technology companies will be available to talk to you about where they work, what they do, what geospatial skills are required, and what you can do to get prepared for the workplace.  This is also a great chance to network with GIS professionals and discuss research problems or issues you might be working on.

  • 1 – 4 p.m.              Network with Geospatial Practitioners
  • 2 – 3 p.m.              Panel: Geospatial Careers
  • 4 – 5 p.m.              Panel: Drones in Research

Geospatial technologies such as GIS, GPS, drones and satellite imagery are currently used in almost every professional field. Whether you use geospatial technologies in your current work/ research or want to learn more about how they are used by researchers and professionals in a variety of fields, this event is for you.

The Geospatial Research and Career Fest is free and open to everyone – The ASU Library Map and Geospatial Hub will have a booth.  Hope to see you there!
