Engineering and Entrepreneurship Librarian

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of scholarly information in the areas of engineering and entrepreneurship, and will connect researchers and learners with information and resources within and beyond the physical library. Reporting to the head of the Social Science Division of ASU Library, this individual will collaborate with campus partners across colleges, departments, and institutes. The successful candidate will build strong multidisciplinary relationships that facilitate research and student success. They will help define new services, develop programs, and serve as a resource for scholarly communication, research data management, and information literacy. As an Academic Professional at Arizona State University, the Engineering and Entrepreneurship Librarian is expected to engage in service and scholarly activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with engineers or in the engineering field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related STEM field
  • Coursework or a certificate in entrepreneurship
  • Experience providing reference consultations and instructional services
  • Familiarity with patents, standards, funding sources, and other engineering and business resources
  • Demonstrated experience with the product and entrepreneurial life cycles  
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with a wide range of user populations
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary and Rank: This is a continuing appointment track Academic Professional position; Assistant/Associate Librarian and salary dependent upon experience.
