The library tool bar attempts to assist users in finding resources in our collection while they search the web by highlighting 8, 10, and 13 digit numbers and creating a clickable link which searches the Library One Search. The problem with this is that it links many numbers which are not ISSNs or ISBN. I just want you to be aware of this. I’m not sure there is much we can do about it at the point since most web sites are not semantic (they don’t have a machine readble way to differentiating between the “meaning” of numeric values). Something to be aware of.
